Why is the seat tube decal so high up?

Looks good there. Equal spacing from BB to decal for both seat and down tubes

Is placed as it was pre-respray. Found the special vaz detail though - crankset/chainring when fitted Obscures chainstay decal. My fault for not specifying exact placement on that one I guess. Is looking pretty sweet though. Spokes for alternate wheelset being ordered tomorrow.

News update?

Still not put front mech on, going to give it another week to cure. Should be picking spokes up for the beater wheelset on Monday.

Been mostly fiddling with the Dave Lloyd instead which now has wheels and a groupset on it, and a bottom bracket that's too narrow :( Anyone got any down tube shifters they want rid of? after a radiused lever boss thing and buying a shifter with one attached seems the easiest way.

or, you know, fuck it. front mech and chain now on, just got to cable the mechs up and it's finished.

All done. Cabled, crimped and indexed. Now to put it in the loft and a) never ride it and b) shield the fluro paint from damaging uv rays.

I'll take some iphone snaps in daylight tomorrow, but there's enough tidy detail on this to warrant ho's patented many close ups, low dof, much pose technique. the shifters are so lightly used, it feels like a new bike. if this was 1997 i'd be very happy with it right now. doubly so due to the pedals, bar tape and handlebars from the future (but these are genuinely the only concessions to modernity, everything is else 1997 or earlier, and I've even got some pd7410s for this, just no shoes to go with them.)

Next weekend would work. @OldSkoolRacer 's baby won't be anywhere near ready for then though. I might have some extra matchy matchy wheels by Friday if I get my act together.

Very excellent build 6pt - hope to see it tearing past me at some point!
