Also - one last thing - I'm a lot freaked out about how 'Clockwise' knows a bit too much about me - and posting a picture up here of me next to my car is Definately not cool - any suggestions???
I actually find this slightly creepy even if you have posted too much info i.e phone no email etc who on earth does that? seriously

^ yep, me too it started odd+creepy with a video.. then carried on?!
clockwise is geting brumantically involved... like that film... -

So... how big is the frame and what's it made of? :)
(my guess is 50cm alu but it's good to be sure)

Winnifred - honestly I don't know what it's made from, but it feels very light - from the crank bearings to the top of the seat post is 24.5" or 17" to the cross bar.

try a magnet, i say steel, looking at dropouts.

I searched the number+email to see if it pulled up hundereds of dodgy looking bikes on gumtree and alike all ended with "call me on ... and email me at ..." but the video comes up a couple down when you google the number. After that I admit to having too much spare time, should get a turbo trainer for this weather.

Ok will check and update tomorrow - wife is giving me evils like suspecting of talking to women!!!!!!!

Clockwise - I still like you ... :)))

Clearly he isn't a bike thief you must have realised that when you found the video etc and yet you still posted the video and picture of him.
I really think this is odd even if you have too much time on your hands. -

Perhaps all involved should review and use the edit function as appropriate

But it isn't an ideal fixie project!

Good morning all ... adrevporn - yes it is steel (via using the magnet test)
Scilly.Suffolk - I have a different opinion - it will make a great bike. Maybe I am not an 'expert' or as much of an enthusiast like you guys but I had an image / goal of the attached file - I do appreciate the minimalism of a skinny old skool peugeot frame (sexy as hell!!!!) But I like this style too - my daily ride is merely a single speed trek running on a Gates carbon belt drive. I've stripped off all of the gay crap (reflectors, back brake etc) swapped the front brake to the right side (for familiarity to a motorbike) but I love it and ride it daily!!!
I really dislike it when I'm 'advised' that something is not possible - just makes me want to do it anyway!!
I built the motorbike i've attached and all from the beginning it was like - don't do this and don't do that ....

I say it's not "ideal" for conversion to fixed gear, as it has vertical dropouts.
You would have to use a "magic gear" to run it fixed, which is far from ideal.
Sheldon Brown has a useful glossary for any terms you're not familiar with.
And a rear brake on a single speed (freewheel) is not "gay", it's both a legal requirement and rather sensible.

ok - i did not know that !!!
-

It's also not an ideal fixie project because it's got approximately one half of a (high-quality) derailleur system attached to the frame.

'gay' is a bit inapproriate on the most diversely embracing forum off the internets
unless you're a big gay hoser for life, then it's fine :)
-
• #96
Using the term gay to describe what is purposeless and unnecessary will also not win you any forum points.
Your motorbike numberplate is illegal and you would get a £90 on the spot fine and most of that Harley Davidson 'custom' stuff is shop bought.

Also dibs on the seat post bolt if you decide to split.
Providing its anodised purple, regulation fixie and will make me go faster.

I suggest treating 'newcomers' in a way to encourage them to stay ??!! Or is this a clicky type of thing ??!!
I just want to sell a bike !!!!
So were you planning to stay or just sell the frame and piss off?
This frame is not ideal for a 'fixie project' as it has vertical drops and therefore getting chain tension correct would be very hard.
I'm not going to suggest that you stole it, but I do suggest that your listing is poor due to lack of information and also that you plan(ned) to sell the frame and that would be you first and last 'contribution' to the forum.
Try ebay or gumtree- you might have more luck.

@ salmon child - My first thoughts were to as you so nicely put it to 'piss off'
Then I was insulted so decided to stay and piss some people off
Now it is to stay and get some more ideas - who knows - I might just keep the frame, turn it around just to really piss some people off !!!!

nds pics aren't as bad as you think
Ok - good point - but also don't have nothing to hide so ...
In my Young 40 years this is the first grief I've ever encountered on the net :((((
