Put some touring rims on then.
The biggest advantage of this is that your expensive wheels will feel very expensive in comparison when it's start to get warmer.

Does anyone know the ERD of an aksium rim? Mine is fucked and im looking for a replacement rim with the same erd so i can reuse the spokes and hub. Mavic dont seem to supply this info

@Mechamorgan dt swiss 240s straight pull to stans 400s/flo30s would be pretty sweet

I agree with Mechamorgan, Archetypes are good functionally but there's something off about how they look. I know it's a stupid point but they never seem to look great. I'm quite happy to wear out my front to give me and excuse to build up a nice low profile box section type wheelset for the fixed.
On the road bike it's either proper aero wheels or lightweight (or solid and cheap rs501) -

Takes one to know one ;)
I do think for solid winter riding though, hope mono rs to something solid like a rigida hard to beat, gonna last you for years and easy to service/rims are cheap. But only if you can stomach the worlds loudest freehub

Like most things in life the real issue with Archetypes is typographical ;-)
Crap tracking, or drilling...
vs these, which I think look great:

Being a child I also think that the name Nemesis is cooler than Archetype. But I have been known to reed books that are 3" thick with a fighter plane on the cover, and a Greek letter in the title.

Nemesis's dad is way harder than Archetype's dad

Left field rim choice for you .. Ryde Pulse Sprint.

Shouty graphics? You wouldn't want: Zipps, Bora's, any wheel Easton make, Dura ace c35, or enve's then?

Any thoughts on 4za Stratos wheels? Seems ok. Sealed bearing hubs, 24 bladed spokes, which I believe can be replaced with something like DT aero in case of failure. Link: http://www.4zaonlinestore.com/product.html/stratos-wheel

Have these been discussed?

Look like good value.

they're on my shortlist, seem to have completely slipped through the net when it comes to wide rims, guess they are fairly new

From my limited use, the Pave wheels seem awesome, particularly for the sale price I got them for. I think they are the cheapest 23mm wide wheels currently available and very light for the price.
The silver rims and Hub combo look pretty great imo, very subtle decals.

Is that correct about the 100 PSI limit on the rims though? Seems unusual.

The road.cc review mentioned it, but I haven't seen anything on the rims or their website. Will have a look.
If there was a manual, I haven't looked at it!The rims are available seperately for £29.99 each, seems a good price too.
They look like bicycle rims to me
