I think of some that would look better but if they had the same design as omniums they'd probably need to be beefier to fit it, and it's weigh more. As is these are really light (650g) and as slim as standard 75's.

So far I love them, BB was and continues to be noticeably smoother than standard GXP ones. They're lighter, feel just as stiff and will probably fit way more frames.
Once you factor in the cost of buying a zen ring and decent ceramic BB for omniums these 75's work out at about the same price.

yea definitely good value, cheaper than 75's. Even though they are external how would you compare them to regular 75's?
-
• #230
Lighter and external BB is just better, other than that no real noticeable difference in ride.

Outboard BB > square taper any day

• #232
In my experience square taper BBs tend to last a fair bit longer.

• #239
its ok, i would keep chainset seatbits too.
trispoke is slave in my eyes, rear needs sugino tension disc but i have no idea what i'm typing about clearly. -
• #240
what do you think is an acceptable depth of carbon rims on these? 50mm and less? this kalavinka looks alright with 50mm
-
• #241
I would have kept the chain set as well. I thought the deep carbon would have made it more acceptable for them.
Though yes, I too supposedly have no idea of what I'm talking about.@zaurbek: I would have thought that the depth of rim ~ thickness of tubing. The kalavinka has thin tubing so 50mm, if not too thick, looks OK.
I know someone with a notorious 90mm on an aventon which does look ridiculous but more acceptable than the rim would be on that kalavinka. -
• #242
90mm looks alright on the right frame...

This isn't the Porn thread though and Readers wives have are usually welcome as long as there is slavery on show. How is your sled looking?
-
• #250
It's just funny when people jump at a chance to show of their own bike as an example of something looking good. Much hubris, so confidence, wow.
p.s. my sled is still completely overboard, as always. Small, but nuts.
Sell your two sets of omniums so you can (almost) buy one set of SG75's ;)
