  • You need better mudguard.

  • indeed, ive moved the mudguard down since taking that photo but it is still not the ideal winter set up.

  • Those the crappy sks raceblades? They just channel shit into your brakes.

  • This.

PDW Full Metal Fenders (Charlie the Bikemonger) will fit nicely in that clearance if that's the 25mm tyres.

  • I am tempted, they look like they would be more likely to fit on the front where the sks do not.

  • Fellow caad10 owners, anyone have any experience with front fork clearance issues with 25mm tyres? At 90psi on GP4000sII 25mm and 23mm rims, I get rubbing at the top, side clearance is fine.
I have a 2012 caad10, some Google searching suggests that clearance was less in the earlier frames and that gp4000s run large compared to their advertised size?

  • my caad10 from 2011 has open paves 25mm and fits perfectly fine.

Try in the tyre thread to see if those come up bigger? (https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/150619/)

  • Never been a problem for me, 25mm GP4000 IIs here, on regular width rims.

    I run them at 110psi.

    (not the greatest picture)

  • 110psi! What are you? 120kg??

  • Are you calling him fat?

  • I'm calling him fat, and you Howard.

79.7kg of me is calling you fat.

  • We've been through this before:
    Acc. this video :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pIHm40Amx0

and other sources, the range is 7-8.5bar depending on the condition. That's 101- 123 psi.
I'm lazy so 110 goes in most days, unless it is pissing it down when 100 will suffice.
They weigh less than me, so I figure I'll be fine.

  • You base your pressure on what the pro ride?

  • shut up ed!

  • I ran 25mm conti 4 seasons at 40psi on my CAAD7 once - super comfortable :)

  • An interesting article here on Sagan's Synapse. If I wanted a carbon bike then this would be the one

Apologies for the funny formatting above but the link seems to work

  • Looks shit though

  • It's weird that two articles about that bike have cropped up on Lufguss this week. Weird in that it's a few months after he started training with his new team.

  • Sagan's looks alright I reckon. The long top tube kinda balances it out a bit. Shame the paint is dull. Also surprising they use that SLK seatpost, which if it's anything like the two I own, will - through the vast quantity of its mass - attract smaller, more svelte posts to rotate around it.*

The OTP version...I want to like it and I'd certainly ride one if someone gave it to me :)

    * yeh I know it's a special seatpost for that frame...it's just heavy and ugly.

  • That long top tube is a joy to ride. Looks wise the Liquigas synapse was hard to beat but I'd be quite happy with one of these.

  • Right, anyone want a 56cm Caad10?

  • Yes! Whole bike or a frame set?

  • Yes! How much?

  • Cannondale-Garmin Synapse for the Spring Classics.

    Hmmmm.

It's an awful photo, but that green...wish they'd ditched it.
