Sufficiently frosty out in the home counties this morning for cars to be driving around with porthole windows where they couldn't be bothered to clear all the ice from their screens. Saw a car in this state almost take out a bike in front of me on a roundabout this morning. The car skidded to a stop about 10 cm from the side of the bike as the bike passed round the roundabout.
8/10 though for the rest of the commute, as the roads were fairly clear, and Richmond Park was beautiful this morning, whilst I was toasty warm in my new winter cap.

Well that was near perfection.
6:30 set off, been in the library now for an hour.
Negligible cars, 3 bikes all smiling with the joys of early spring commuting.
And a great 'race' with a severely underpowered moped who was consistently surprised that I was still keeping up.
A little chilly, a little headwind, all the (very few) traffic lights turning green appropriately, and a glorious clear sky with stars and the moon shining brightly. -

I did.

1st ride on the new ss. Its a change not to have to think about changing gear or anything! Busy on my CS7 route this morning, hopefully get to open the taps abit more on the return leg.

Bit of a hammerfest today. Got up early with the missus and found a few other peeps trying to work off the mince pies. Didn't wear winter boots or excess head gear. Merino under jacket. Sexeh sexeh tights over Assos F1.Mille knicks. 8/10

Very empty roads this morning hardly any other cyclist more buses then cars. Nice temp 8/10

Something's changed at euston which is making all the taxis back up out of the car-down-slope onto Melton St.
Fine for me, but the bin lorry trying to get into the loading area by the offices was causing all kinds of beautiful chaos.
Too warm.

The Altura Nodderthon Crowd is already thinning. Come at me rain.

heavy rain forecast for tomorrow's commute, I predict the bike cage at work will be significantly emptier than usual
(No bike for me, i'll be running in)

Bring it on, given the current troubles going on with trains out of London Bridge I'll rather take my chances in the pissing wet.

Way too many clotheses. Desperate stop at lights to unzip the wind-stopper and remove neck-wear. Still a little too toasty. 4 degrees my arse, BBC.

First commute since the Dec 23rd.
Wettest. Day. Ever.
Fruit fly infestation at work so had to search for a safe place to leave clothes to dry.
Mega tailwind on way in = 5mph max on way home.
3/10. Think weather is to be worse tomorrow and I'm on a late shift so might just get the train.

Last night was a hard grind back to SE23 - my legs were done in after only about 6 miles.
This morning, a bit wet. Fewer cyclists. Glad I didn't wuss out. I'm no Steve Abraham, but I'm going to try to stick to the bike for commuting this year.

Wet but smoothly sailing, except for the twat in the National Express coach who overtook me (and the next guy down the road) at about 35-40mph with 30cm to spare.

Wind last night indeed was brutal heading SE. I left at 07:00 this a.m. so arrived just as the rain was starting. Tomorrow looks even worse, particularly if you are up north.

On monsoon days like this it doesn't matter how much water I take on, because I get to dress like batman.

I am weak. Trainwankered today. There goes my "No train commute in in 2015" idea.

Hard work last night, left earlier enough to avoid the rain this morning hope it stops as in my haste to get out forget to pack a rain jacket.
Again very few cyclist out this morning apart from crazy legs Dave. The guy that always seems to pop up on his Brompton spinning his legs in a cartoon style as he using his easiest gear.

Breathtaking amount of bad driving today. At least two cars tried to left-hook me today. Maybe they need some rain training.

Waterproof 3/4 lengths, merino leggings, long-sleeved merino base layer and overshoes. Perfect temperature, if a bit soggy. Hoping the plethora of wool dries before home time. 8/10
Also this morning, I wore my smart work shoes to cycle in with power straps on my Fixie Biek. I added overshoes to make them look a bit cycley and prevent laces catching on things.
Worked really well except for the slight winkle picker toe length being a bugger to get into the straps.
No need to carry other shoes equals win.
