    If you're using rim brakes then a BB30 > EBB will give you a quick fix way of adjusting the chain tension without having to readjust your brakes. But I guess adjusting chain tension from the BB is always a bit trickier, plus if you're using a BB30/similar shell, then doesn't it work like an expander, giving it the potential to work loose? Also can you do it with the cranks on?

    Bc of those questions and Bc you're after discs, paragon-style rocker dropouts make more sense to me generally, but even more so if you're making a choice from scratch.... Rather than say SS'ing a BB30 CX frame.

  • thanks for that, I've done a bit of googling and it seems you are correct in that sliding dropouts are a bit of faff if you're working with mudguards, which I will be and rocker dropouts would give you the chain tension and the ability to drop a wheel in and out without too much effort..
