Yes he did.
I actually might have a pair of Gipiemme Pedals too. I mean, I do, two pairs, one pair has one dust cup missing, the other pair is in great conditions (I just swapped them with a pair of Gipiemme Pista pedals)
If he's interested I might give them to him.

Thanks both - I did get the cranks, and I was going to retap them, but have been offered a set of pedals... wish I had realised all of the compatibility issues I was getting myself in for earlier - I didn't even know there were pedals with different threading before this! hoping to have the bike up and rolling by the weekend at last!

Did you?!!??! Totally removed from my mind!!

no worries - it was my own ignorance at fault... I will give you a shout if the other ones fall through. In fact, if you aren't saving the Gipiemmes for something else, I might take them anyways, so I can save them as a backup as they seem to be vanishingly rare on ebay, and will only become harder to find in the future, I reckon!

yeah but the pedals have Italian threads

so the pedals wouldn't fit 14mm x 1.25tpi? (I have been told that is "French threaded" but obviously the cranks are Italian, so it is all a bit convoluted it seems :)

There are only two types of pedal threading in Europe.
Standard 9/16" (0.56") x 20 tpi 14.28 x 1.27 mm
French 0.55" 20.32 tpi 14 mm x 1.25 mm -

Ok so mine are Standard, not French and won't fit the crankset I gave you .
Looking for some 14 x 1.25 pedals to finish up a project - not too picky about style, but not looking to spend too much and can't seem to find anything on ebay that isn't overly chunky.
