Wish I hadn't seen that video on Vice. The way the gunman casually skirts around the injured officer, shooting him in the head like its nothing is chilling.

Well, you shouldn't have watched it then. You let your own grim curiosity get the better of you and perpetuated a level of indignity and bad taste in the process.

It's not a manifesto governed by logic, so there's little point trying to empathise. You're right in the sense that these people's mind's are shut off; these aren't the crimes of people who do people over for fun, they think they have a divine mandate. It's like Hitler, isn't it: he recruited from the criminal classes, the dispossessed, the morally ignorant, amongst folk begging to take some sort of direction, and the more depraved the orders the more radical the movement becomes.

Ahh fuck I wish I had not watched that video on Vice now. I feel sick despite being desensitized to this kind of thing through the modern media. I would advice against watching it.

All that happened today behind my old apartment and around the corner from my local. Everyone is pretty shaken up right now around here. And I have to walk home past it soon, and what would appear to be a pretty large protest occurring in just over an hour.

When you say protest do you mean an anti-Islamic march? This will have some serious repercussions with attacks on Muslims in the city I'd imagine.

Well i tend to call everything over here a protest against something, but no technically the gatherings tonight & tomorrow are forms of solidarity for the victims and a showing that people won't be scared. I'm sure there'll be no small number interested still in it becoming anti-islamic.
