  • Birdman then. Amazing editing, acting and script, and I loved that jazz drumming, but I wasn't convinced by the ambiguity of the ending.

    It's such a clever film all the way through, but then I was left a little confused by the point that was being made. And because everything throughout the rest of the film is laden with meaning and foreshadowing, I expected or wanted some kind of closure or ending you could easily interpret, but maybe that's just me.

    My other half broke the trend and enjoyed it.

    It's a wonderful film. So good in so many ways. There is no point. It's pure film making for the joy of it. The joy of writing. The joy of acting. The joy of camera work etc. etc. It's the most perfect film I've seen in a long, long time. It's sat with me for days and I'm going to see it again at some point. Not for any kind of closure but just because it was a wonderful 90 minutes of filming.
