An heir and a spare!
The Daily Mail will be pleased.
Meantime, I'll be confronted with a daily update from the office bores about maternity wear and bump sizes.

It's a wonder they find time to breed in between all the hard work they do.

It is like The Queen called all the family in yesterday and said:
"Well, what can we do to keep Scotland? I do so love Balmoral".
"hmmmm"
Wills speaks up "Grandmama, I don't know if this will help but Kate is pregnant but it is still very early days".
"YES" The Queen shouts. "A ROYAL BABY! They love a royal baby! They won't want to leave us now." -
• #1733
"Pregnant, together"
-
• #1734
hey ho - the only thing more tedious than royal baby updates are 'i don't care about the royal baby and neither should you' updates.
except maybe 'people moaning about people moaning about royal baby updates'
etc...

not only are there a few rogue genes in the current bunch of royals ... they might not be the royal family after all, a few rogue genes snuck in in the past too

pre-'O'-level History in the early '70s,
everything seemed to hinge upon John of Gaunt. It was only recently,
(maybe related to Medieval Total War),
that I finally found out he was born in Flandershttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_of_Gaunt,_1st_Duke_of_Lancaster
so should be called John Of Ghent,
which, again, doesn't seem to be mentioned in the above article,
apart from the claims of his illegitimacy. -

does that mean we can guillotine the windsors as traitors / fakes
there is bound to be some archaic law from the middle ages where we can behead impostors
get the rightful people in so we can start hating them

Wonderful that, as we celebrate the whatever centenary of Magna Carta we discover that the US has given a minor royal a get out of gaol (or as it's American, Jail) and the British Parliament is excusing them compliance with a democratic need.
Prince Andrew a nonce. Who would have thought?

He's accused of having sex with a 17 year old in London, New York and Barbados. Is any of that illegal?
-
• #1744
New York it isn't according to a google i just did...
Maybe it's the "forced" bit.
-
• #1745
True but I can't help wondering how much of that is made up to secure a huge civil lawsuit. Maybe I'm too much of a cynic.

or... an oily fuck, steeped in the highest echelons of the establishment who possibly thinks themselves above the law, has been fingered in a child abuse scandal and is now trying to squirm their way out of it.
this news comes uncomfortably close to this announcement:
http://www.theguardian.com/global/2014/dec/21/theresa-may-child-sex-abuse-inquiry-panel-scrapped
...i mean, be reasonable - you can't seriously expect the tories (amongst others mind you) to implicate their own party in possibly the most egregious scandal in this country's history with an election around the corner? been abused by people in positions of authority and trust? go home and get on with your lives, just try not to think about it and you'll be fine, ok? there's a good citizen.

good point

Is any of that illegal?
sex with a 17 year old in London,
No
New York
Yes
and Barbados.
No
I can't pretend to understand international law that much, but even if he were proven to have nobbed a minor in the US (by their standards), he would not face charges in the UK.
The US could seek to extradite though - And the UK extradition treaty with the US is such that a UK citizen will (not even may) be extradited for an act that is not criminal in the UK, and without prima facie evidence.
as scotland managed to request a vote on separation from england ... is there any way we can request a vote on the monarchy, seeing as we are getting rid of burdens on the tax payer, maybe combine the two and sell them off to scotland and erect a new hadrians wall as we will need a new border under the schengen agreement !
or
put them out on the street with just the clothes on their backs and let them fend for themselves
could make for a scintillating reality tv programme, the first i might consider watching
just throwing some ideas out there
