As Chak said it dries very quickly due to the alcohol content.
This is good because it means once they're on they don't slide around. But it's bad because you have to get them on very sharpish after spraying into the grips.

Should work fine, it's what I've always used for track grips...

I used a vial of mums. I normally retain it for something more special, but felt it fitting in this case. Have plenty anyways.

How long should it take to set - 12 hours doesn't seem to have done the trick

Did you wash the urine off first?

On a serious note: take grip off. Clean bars and soak grip in hot water for 5 mins. Spray handlebar with a light dusting of hairspray and slide the drained grips on straight from the hot water. Be careful not to scold yourself. Should be fixed on within the hour, but maybe longer if excessive water remained in the grip which you was meant to drain first!

Do you have some randos to fit afterwards?

dude just get some wd 40 ... you'll use it for other bike related things, so it won't be a waste of money
it'll take about 10 mins to dry solid and won't slip

do you have the right sized grips ? not that they come in different sizes, do they ?

I think maybe I was too generous with the hairspray the first time.
@dicki, Its deffo the right size as the opposing side is tight as.

Ive not, to be honest. I think I will buy another pair and start over

I put a tad more hairspray on and they seem good this morning. Seems I may have gone from too liberal to too sparse.
