I bought one of these after you posted this and it's just arrived a few minutes ago. I was being a bit ambitious as I don't really get on with merino, but it's pleasingly itch-free and very cosy. It is a little on the big side but not clown outfit baggy - I reckon the next size down would have been fine. Cheers for the tip!

Sorry to jump in here, I hope nobody minds. I have a Bell Star Pro helmet in small size at home. My girlfriend won't use it as it's a full-on aero helmet with bonkers mirrored visor, and she just rides to the shops, so it's not needed. Plus point is that it has the visor and carry bag and is brand new, never worn. Down side is that it's in orange.

Drop me a PM if you think you can make use of it.

Hey maddie, I hate to say it, but does anyone have anything to say about the Rapha jeans? The idea of a jeans fabric that doesn't wear is kind of their main point in the blurb...

Er yeah, just up the page. We're all over it here in the Ladies Forum.
In even less interesting news, today I cycled in in Uniqlo jeggings. They are super comfortable - not sure what my fellow commuters think about what they do for my thighs. #scoblemarketing

Ah, sorry - that sounded grumpier than I meant. I only mentioned because much of the discussion was precisely about the seat region - but you're right, it was a while ago.

Ed - I know it was a whole ago, but here are some unpadded winter tights (not bibs) I came across on wiggle:

The Rapha Souplesse jacket has become my go-to winter riding top now. It's perfect for these temperatures, cuts out wind and keeps you warm but you never overheat. Good if you're not a fan of carrying loads of layers, you just need a base layer underneath and you're good to go.

with it now costing £95 down from £220, I'm sure you could buy one for yourself,
but thank you for thinking I would be that generous... -

How do you like your rain bomber all this time in ? Still dry and classy ?
-
• #1094
Yup, I still wear it pretty much every single day. It's so good! Just the fact that it's got a double front pocket (zippy pocket opening on the side, open topped pouch on top of it) along makes it a winner on practicality.
The printed bomber I am not such a fan of, it's very thick for cycling in and cut quite short so you inevitably end up flashing a lot of unsexy back flesh to the world. But it's great for casually walking to the shops at lunch time.
