The stem, along with everything attached, got nicked off my bike the other day and I seriously need it back on the road for some work at the end of this week.
Had an old stem and handlebars lying around so have put those on, but as yet, have no way of stopping (brakeless fixed gear is not for me).
The handlebars are 22mm diameter risers for the brake levers.
The front forks have been drilled out to accept the newer style fixture for road brakes, however they need to be extra long drop (73mm). The rear brakes need to be 57mm drop and can only be attached with a nut and bolt fitting.
The handlebars are needed for my wife's bike, 25.4mm clamp, risers preferably, any colour, alloy, steel, whatever.
My bike is a total beater, but seriously need to get it back on the road by Thursday afternoon, hopefully it'll be my back up bike once I get some money together (got a really nice aluminium frame waiting to be built up) but for now it's all I've got. Also, sorry, if my terminology is hazy or if I've not explained myself well, new to the forum and have always muddled my way through fixing my bikes.
I'm happy with any parts really as long as they're safe and functional, and as I said in the title, free would be great, but obviously more than happy to pay.
(If anyone knows of any decent shops around North/East London that sell second hand parts please let me know. I've bought stuff from Bike Works before, but their selection's pretty meagre apart from Thursdays and Saturdays, when they let you rummage through their odds and ends.)
