I put SS greens on the summer bike. They're really great braking from high speed in the wet or dry. Perfect for mountains (no fade). To me they can feel a bit wooden (when cold, for the first few grabs).
Salmon's go on the front on the winter bike. They have nice bite at lower temps/speeds. (Standard shimano on the rear because I always seem to have some to use up).
I use disposable contacts whenver I ride the bike with few ride exceptions; I have no issues with peripheral vision ..
