My Sprollie, Alfie, went to the poodle parlour the other day for a wash and blow dry so that he smelt nice (for a change) at Christmas. He came back looking lovely, smooth and shiny like a mole. We went for a walk the next day and got wetter than a haddock's bathing costume. He then shook to dry off and I heard something I've never heard before. You know how dogs shake from the head first, finishing at the tail? Alfie did just this but the final tail end included a sound of slapping, like a live fish might do on a hard surface but slightly hollow sounding (like cupped hands clapping). I can only conclude that his undercarraige has been thoroughly trimmed and his tackle is slapping his thigh. Csb, I know but I needed to share.
