I think he was genuinely pleased to be rid of it. Didn't catch a glimpse of @OldSkoolRacer 's frame while I was there but I hope it turned out as nicely :)

All the dura aces! I don't think it needs a Serotta panto one, and the Ti one would be the wrong colour. And I love the removable faceplate for simplified faffings. So yes.

Totally awesome. Well done for persevering through two long paintjob waits. I'd really advise you to wait at least two weeks (yes really) more before clamping things like front mech on it though. I couldn't stand it with the 2.8 I had refurbed and built it up after only a week (of sitting on top of the boiler) and the paint was still too soft, left an irritating bulge at the derailleur clamp.

Altho not period correct, I would find it hard not to go all black on the components. #justsayin #flourosalve

If I find something I'd rather hang the 7700 on, this'll end up with something modern a la @Dammit or @golgol ; probably Force. Then that'll be the case. But for now, #shinyshiny :)

Can you ask mario to mix you up a little pot of the green and carefully paint it on the forks yourself?

hmm, rapha pink, not fluoro pink - schoolboy error

I assumed rapha fluoro pink would be standard fluoro pink, but it's a tiny bit peachier. Photo doesn't really show it.

you could flatten the frame off with a rub of 1000 wet and dry.... :P

I've got the yellow already. I think those might be a little bit much.

thankfully, the time for me receiving presents is now past for another 12 months.

My 5 year old is threatening to get me that for my birthday in March.
