Hmmm not really - the arms pull an axle that rotates in a bushing and moves ball bearings around, presumably against a surface that probably requires a bit of lube. It might not be servicable tho. Spyres can get pretty crunchy if you don't blast them with brake cleaner then GT85 once in a while. With the pads out, obvs :)
I've got some Shimano BR-CX77 mechanical disc brakes which at present are working fine. The bike is currently seeing lots of mud so gets a wash after every ride and most parts requiring oil are getting regularly lubed. This is my first disc brake bike, I'm fine with other types of brake maintenance and lubrication but don't know where to lube these disc brakes. Can some one please advise? Google offers pages of results on not lubing your pads or rotors but not much else.
