  • New Rad Race merch :

  • Is this true even if you rent out the whole thing? I know people who have been brakeless and the staff didn't bat an eyelid.

  • Orbital ran a FG crit at Goodwood, perfect circuit for it and they must have had some kind of insurance as I certainly didn't have brakes on

  • @Yukirin we (Velo Sur Mer) are planning on holding a series next year with a range of race types over a 6 month period, we would hope to include a Crit, we're thinking of doing one in December on the ground floor of a multi story car park if you fancy coming down

our social media stuff is here:
    Facebook
    Twitter
    Instagram

oh also we just opened Bournemouth's first cycle cafe Velo Domestique

  • Keep us updated in this thread if you would

  • @DanBournemouth Cool, I've added you but I'd probably miss an update on social media. As Skant said, keep us updated on here and with enough notice I'll be able to come down.

  • @Skant will do,
@Yukirin I'll let you guys know when we've confirmed dates/sponsors etc.

  • I think the road around the Stratford velodrome would make a great London crit circuit with good facilities for riders and good view points for spectators. The area is so quiet that cars are a rarity as the flats are not all sold yet or not even built.

  • i want to race in a rad race next year.

  • Date for the Nottingham crit for 2015 is Saturday 20th June. Nocturne is the 6th June.

  • Punk Bike's 3rd birthday Criterium on 1st Feb, if anyone is in the area.

"To celebrate Punk Bikes 3rd birthday we're organising another little racing event.
This time it'll be criterium for a change.
5 x 1.3 mile long laps plus 1 more lap for the win (around 8 miles total).
Fixed gear and single speed only.
    2 categories: ladies and gents.
£5 entry fee as per usual goes to the pot and will be divided between two winners.
Meet up by BBC studios Port Tiger down the bay (turn left by Doctor Who Experience) at 2 pm for registration, race starts at 3pm.
Obviously music, chats and beers to follow back in the shop.
One more thing, onesie is must be outfit.
    Safe!"

  • Race entry for London Nocturne opened 2nd week of Feb last year. Who's thinking of entering this year?

  • I'm tempted. Is it a crashfest? Don't want to risk fucking up the rest of my season.

  • Don't think there was a crash during the track crit last year. It was cut short due to a crash in the race before, though.
Fixed crits are growing in Europe and some riders seem to be doing a lot of travelling to race not just RHC so I think we'll see a few more international riders fly over this year.

  • There was at least one crash last year but there aren't usually many.

  • Unfortunately this will probably be a crash fest :/

Mixed fixed and freewheel, no rules about brakes or bars. Probably gonna get messy fast.

  • Agreed (re punkbike) but it's winter and quiet news week!

  • Speaking to one of the Cinelli Chrome guys he says that the team is planning on doing the London RHC, Nocturne and Nottingham fixed crit.

  • Trimble working hard! Entries for Brooklyn also opened Feb last year so hopefully we'll get the full series officially announced soon.
