600 meters down the road.

Passo Giovo today. Only about 5 cars in the whole 20km. Chilly out of the sun at 2000m though. Frozen hands and feet on the descent

Aaaah Trollstigen.

I'd reconise that by outline alone.

During the Alps trip Col de l'iseran was the most beautiful. Totally alone the Whole way up which kinda made for the intense atmosphere.

Where in Norway, @Smallfurry? I'm contemplating a trip north in the summer...

The Tour is going up that zig zag this year.

Here is a view from the road in Norway from Kristiansand in the south to Tromsö in the north, Summer 2014. Some very special places out there: the Rallarvegen, the Sognefjellet mountain route, the coastal road up to Bodø, and the Lofoten islands.

My pics on this page are from the French alps.

For cycling I'd recommend the west. Between Bergen and Trondheim. Loads of amazing roads. With the Mountains being smaller and closer togethre than in say the Alps. Its the tight Valleys that are the most amazing IMHO.

To second what SF has said: I've done along the South coast (Stavanger to Kristiansand). It was nice, but not much compared to the other stuff in this thread.
