And by this year I mean next, but only for the next eight hours or so

Forgot to enter. Not really, I decided against a possibly icy ride.

I am hoping that the ice will stay away. I have emailed to see if there are spaces. I am not sure what I am hoping the answer is

I was going to use it to kick off a possible PBP ride this year but I can smash out a 200k any time so I'd rather do it when there's less risk. In a month or two I should be off the anti-coag so can get back to riding like a mental.

A pal of mine really wants to do PBP this year and wants me as a running mate.. Far, far from convinced that I can do it, but thought that I would do some of the qualifying rides as an investigation.

I know I can do it, I'm just not sure I want to, so doing the same as you - will do some qualifiers and see how they go. Make a call later in the year depending on racing, etc.

Did you get an entry? Looks like the weather is going to be non-icy but wet again like last year.

Anyone who wants it can have my entry...!

I did get an entry and was told that there are plenty of spaces. I also joined AUK.
Slightly getting cold feet about it. 10 hours or so in the pouring rain might be more endurance than I am looking for at the moment. I am communicating with my running mate to see what he wants to do. I am his lift so will have to go if he wants to. I really wanted to have changed my groupset before going back to work on Monday and I can't see it happenning, especially if out all day Sat.

Tempting... until I looked at the forecast. :)
Purely to resurrect a very old thread...
Is anyone doing this this year?
