I use the same device as you, I usually use Garmin BaseCamp to upload and organised all my gpx files, which then get send to the device.
Do you also have Garmin Express?

I haven't used Garmin Express - I just took a look at it and will download it. I was just doing the manual file transfer via USB to upload the files before. Still doesn't make sense to me... I'll do a factory reset too

Hi just wondering what is the benefit of using Garmin BaseCamp instead of copying the files over directly to the GPS' file structure?

Hi - no I'm not using Garmin BaseCamp - I just downloaded the .TCX file from ridewithgps.com and manually transferred it to the GPS via USB cable. This is the same way my friend with an Edge 800 does so thought I'd try this approach. Should I be using Garmin BaseCamp?
