  • Use gpx and not tcx, the gpx is more suitable for the edge and touring series.

    Using the gpx will enable the device to calculate turns as opposed to arbitrary points as determined by the tcx. (not quite but near enough thats how it works)

  • Thanks - I did download .GPX previously but then I couldn't get turn-by-turn directions working, plus, the 35-40 ft issue was still there so hence why I tried .TCX.

  • This sounds like an incorrect setting somewhere on the device, I beleive the routing options come under the profile menus on the touring series.
    Routing Options
    From the home screen, select

    Routing Options
    .
    Routing Mode
    : Sets the transportation method to optimize your route.
    Calculation Method : Sets the method used to calculate your route.
    Lock On Road : Locks the position icon, which represents your position on the map, onto the nearest road.
    Avoidance Setup: Sets the road types to avoid while navigating.
    Recalculation : Automatically recalculates the route when you deviate from the route.
