The front fork will take v-brake, but the rear has different bosses. They are thicker and placed above the braking surface on the rim. Check the first photo.
But, I just came to an idea that could work. Road brakes with long reach. Something like Dia Compe 806. They have 75mm reach and that should be enough. I would have to place the rear caliper on the inside because of the bosses. I did some measuring and it should work fine and still look good. In this case, no struggling as i would just get regular 26" wheels and install the single speed kit on the rear hub. Fixed gear option would require building wheels on my own.
