The parcel in question is a frame, so that sort of sized box, and the vendor charged me £80 for the shipping, if that gives any indication of speed of service (very, very slow it seems to me).

@Dammit it reads that the parcel was given to someone in a post office in Plonéour-Lanvern then went on a train(platform ouest/west and est/east) into germany where that tracking ends
I looked up the tracking as best I could and found it might be via "colissimo" but they don't seem to post to the uk?

Zone Outre-mer 2 : Nouvelle Calédonie, Polynésie Française, Wallis et Futuna, Terres Australes, et Antarctiques Françaises. -

So it's land-based? Fuck knows what it'd cost to post something from France to England that went in a plane then - £300 at a guess.

Yes, much shrug, took him two weeks from receiving my money to posting it.

@clockwise that seems to just list overseas french territories - perhaps they partner up with a different courier for other locations - and that courier ships everything from Germany?

I'm in France from next Tuesday. Colissimo is a La Poste service, I'm happy to go to the local bureau and ask about it if this is not resolved in the meantime...
The tracking itinerary does not make sense when it says "votre colis a ete depose dans le pays d'origine - allemagne" the country of origine being france...
Colissimo is an expensive service with fairly good reputation from what I can remember...

That makes sense, that was my first guess when reading the tracking list of locations and knowing this was supposed to go to UK

According to the vendor it's all gone horribly wrong. However, he promises that the parcel will be here by Saturday. I do not think that this is going to be true, but we shall see.

Parcel was sent to Germany, is apparently now on it's way to my parents, with no way of stopping it.
I no longer want the package, but seem stuck now and have to accept it- if it ever turns up.
I've raised a PayPal dispute, but in theory the parcel is en-route.
Is there a way out of this situation?

Thermo-nuclear war
Would anyone be able to help me to understand this?
My Schoolboy french suggests that my parcel is now in Germany - is this correct?
If so, who can suggest why (when it should be being sent to the UK) La Poste might have sent it there?
