What's the biggest size tyre you can happily fit on the back of a C40? Any difference in rear clearance between earlier and later versions?

Just saw this, I have a 1996 edition (normal stays) and with a 23mm tyre you still have few mm left, so I'd say a 25mm will fit.

Cheers. I'm a 25c kinda guy, so would like to run them, if I could.

Would anyone like to offer a comparison of the ride qualities between C40 and Master?
