-
• #114
Yay! me too, although I think I may borrow a bike instead of bringing mine, as I've just worked out what a complete biatch it will be to get it to Burgess park, when I can't tube it most of the way like I can with the Brompton. I'm also making sure I bring something to eat and drink this time (apart from jaffa cakes)

I may be hungover, I don't care. I will probably bring something classy like crisps. What is everyone doing after? Pub for a pint?
-
• #116
yay to pint (and lunch?) I'm thinking I may be super ambitious and try to make it to track later in the afternoon..
-
• #117
Haha! Hmm.. I'll see how I feel because I have work on Monday but that sounds like a good Sunday out!
-
• #118
That was RAD ladies! My thighs are fucking killing me though - I also have an epic pedal scrape on my shin from that failed bunny hop. Still best way to spend the shortest day EVAR!
Awesome call on Johnnies cafe for a post BMX fry up too @Doctor_Cake. -
• #119
I have 3 20cm pedal scrapes on my right shin and about 15 bruises on my left leg. Worth it.
-
• #120
was going to boast about my pedal scrape but I only have one about an inch long.. great day out and that was some good coaching =) who knew just telling me to 'tuck my tail in' means bmx-ing doesn't make my back hurt any more!
Thanks for organising poots! -
• #121
Anyone else have a "hey why do my arms hurt? Oh yeah..." moment?
Great day out, thanks for organising Poots!
-
• #122
Arms aren't too bad today, however thighs are completely screwed, I walked down the stairs this morning like a cripple. Gonna take the Brompton today to try and get them working again..slowly
-
• #123
Legs fine but my arms feel weird, good job I sit at a computer all day in work haha!
-
• #124
It was my very pleasure! Although just ringing up ain't too strenuous on the organising front.
Ace morning, I think we all really came on/improved, especially @Doctor_Cake getting some air! I'm particularly pleased that the start gates no longer terrify me!
Apologies for dashing off - it occured to me I totally failed to say ta ra but had to dash (bunny hop) home to get changed and get out again. Bad Poots!
Imma going to head to the track tomorrow after work @zeez @blowfish from about 5-ish to about 6-ish but I was thinking we should all totes try and make a rock up and ride session on either a Sat PM or Sund PM in Jan
-
• #125
Yeh the start gates did scare the crap out of me at first, and still do a bit - but I now understand that its just practice and I can do it.
I have a long drive down the side of my house which is perfect for bunny hop practice, and I'm going to aim to get down the Ealing track early sunday mornings (before all the really awesome 10 year olds turn up) and do some pump practice on my own bike.
Well up for a rock up and ride session next month tho. @zeez what was the make of your helmet again?
I'm going to book for me and Clefty tomoz Stef...you want me to book you in too? : )
