Well, Records never been the best frames, actually they were the lowest category of Kharkov factory track bike line - The rust spreads like cancer, lug work and the welds aren't the most reassuring either. But sure as hell, they make a nice beater.

I'm not saying you shouldn't get one. The price is about right, what I mean that it's not the best frame to go racing on.

Sounds about right. Although I'd like to think that anything with four wheels strapped to it, is better than Lada.

There are some chips and scratches in the paper frame hanging on the the factory yet and there is no thread in the bottom bracket unit
