  • Bit of an odd request but I can't find the info on their site and I know quite a few people on here run them.

Can anyone tell me how wide the round part of the bar that the stem clamps to is? I.e. before it ovalises for the aero section? I need to see if I can fit my TT bars and my cross top brake lever on that section or if I will need a TT lever on the end of the bar.

    Many thanks,

    Paul

  • About 11cm on mine, buuuuut they are the lowrider ones. Not sure if that's the ones you mean

  • Thanks Timbre, from the looks of it the centres are the same so that should be OK. I'll double check it against the stem clamp width. Thanks for looking so quickly!

  • I have lowrider ones too the line ontop is marked 90mm.

  • Ah clever clockwise. I got my ruler out so may have added a bit but I tried to be safe.
Maybe go for 90mm incase but you may be able to push and extra cm each side

  • Thanks guys, that's going to be pretty close! If it's 90 then it will be about 5mm too narrow with the tri bars and the stem. Might have to go for an end lever so it's not too crammed in there!

  • @Paul8v the bits to the side of the 90mm line are still flat for a little, I think the idea is that the middles of the tri bars are 90mm spaced and not the outer edges?

  • I need to see if I can fit my TT bars and my cross top brake lever...

    You're not racing then?

  • Ah clockwise that makes sense!

Scilly, this is for a fixed TT bike so it will need a front brake. It's built at the moment for grass track, indoor/outdoor track and a bit of training on the road. The lever on the drops its got at the moment is hinged so it can be removed pretty easily.

If I was to use it for persuit on the track the band on lever could be removed if it did fit and if it has to have a bar end, just replaced with a normal plug

  • this is for a fixed TT bike

You'll need a bar-end lever then: CTT regs require the brake to be operable from the bars at their widest point.

  • Ah OK, that settles that then, thanks for the heads up.
