Following the launch of the new club logo, we are now announcing our new kit. This will be available for order in the next week. The kit keeps the same colours and includes the chevrons, but will incorporate a new design.

That swan jersey is fucking rad.

The IBC kit is as bland as the club: there are surgical instruments less sterile.

The SDCC kit is as confused as the Strava-heroes who sport it :"You want me to pay Assos prices for Altura quality kit to advertise our sponsors?"

(Garage owned by a fat, old bigot [ie Porsche owner], with a too small Molteni jersey and an OTP mamil-wagon.)

^ As far as I know Alan doesn't actually own a Porsche and he's not that fat.

I stand corrected: who was the guy who treated me like something he stepped in, because I don't wear a helmet when not racing?

We've done this before. Alan Rouse is the President and owns AUtostrasse, he's shortish, grey haired and bespectacled. I think we worked out the bloke you dislike is the Chairman.

You're right: the chip on my shoulder is confusing me.

I was out with a SDCC member and she hid in my "shadow" from an oncoming rider (Molteni jersey), explaining that she'd get a bollocking for not wearing a lid (despite having international gold on her palmarès) as he was a big cheese in the club: the sponsor, I thought.

Never mind the helmet rules, that grey and yellow combo is vile.

I think the important thing to note from all this is not to join Stowmarket CC.

TBF it's by far the most active club around here and it's only a handful of them I don't get on with.

I'm friends with several others who aren't so keen on the way a minority dictate things, but not being directly affected aren't motivated to do anything about it...

I'm with them really, just ride your bike, with or without a hat, ignore the politics.

I'd love to, but it's not me who's got the hump because I'm hatless. :(
