  • Steel dents and a that's that

    FTFY - (thin walled) Alu fails in much the same way as carbon - catastrophically, usually after cracking... There is a good reason why Cannondale's were referred to as "crack-n-fail" in the 90's....
    It also requires post-weld heat treating (ie after a repair...)

  • Sure I was being quite simplistic.

    Steel wins for repairability. Have you considered a Talbot?
