Thoughts?>
I love 'em. I came close to snipping one off ebay about 6 months back. Like everything else outside of Rolex (Vacheron and JeagerLC) not sure how well they retain their value in the second hand market. There are better looking versions out there imo- though this thread seems to have gone off chronos unless you're McCarthy.

A friend of mine made this
He has also made a couple of amazing clocks using bicycle transmission parts,

I like the chrono and I don't really like rolex. Was debating a speedmaster but I think there's so many of them about. Also the zenith is quite a bit thinner.
I was thinking if I got it second hand the holding value issue wouldn't be too much of an issue. I wouldn't buy one new

Not so sure. Cycling causes me to sweat like I'm 30m down. Rubber is better than leather.

Zeniths are lush. Only thing that's put me off the El Primero movement is the fact it's chronograph and all the watches look overly complicated and have too much going on. Currently looking at the Zenith Pilot Type 20. May sell some stuff and invest.. It'd be rude not to ;)

I really like Timefactors and what Eddie does, but he has got to sort out his product photography and descriptions, and get a professionally designed website. Glaring weak points that his business thrives only in spite of. Who knows how well Timefactors could do if it didn't all look so amateurish?
^ The NATO watch is a cracker. I didn't like it at first, but found that I kept going back to ogle it.

so i have an issue in life that i see things that i like, stick a search on ebay and if nothing comes up i add it to favourite searches - simple enough - lots of people do this!
however when said item does finally turn up on ebay i feel obliged to buy it. bad news for my bank balanceSo - thoughts on the Xetum Stinson? i got it for an amazing price but having second thoughts, should i just sell it on for what i paid for it (half of what it costs on ebay.com) or do i be ruthless and make a quick buck? better on ebay or on a watch forum?

Sell it for the going rate and put it towards another watch. That's pretty much how I work with mine; I buy them and sometimes service them, then usually sell at a slight profit which goes towards the next.

so ebay?
average selling price is £450 in the US but then another £150 in import duty, so £550 buy now best offer should work i guess - or is it better to go watch forum classifieds?
or do i wait it out till the new year when the ebay listing will have expired so people can't see what i paid for it! -

I can't find it by googling it, so you should be fine

I offered £130 as I already have two 1970's W10 watches. The shame.
Why the surprise Joe? ;)
