Why do you or this forum demand that a company make a wonderful contribution to cycling?
I don't demand it, I just suggested that the way Giant/Specialized/Trek/whoever got to be the size they are is by having more people love them than hate them. Making a worthwhile contribution is a way to achieve that. Those big companies took a long view and put time, money and effort into building brand value, rather than just trying to cash in fast. Dannii is supposed to be some hot-shot City business man, but he doesn't seem to understand that investment is needed in order to grow a business. He's welcome to whatever profit he has mugged off clueless hipsters, but as nothing he has done has shown any indication that he either wants to, or knows how to, build a long term business, he must (if he isn't a total idiot) have known from the outset that Foffa Bikes was a short term project. That's certainly how it has been run so far. If one thread on LFGSS can kill it off (no sign so far that it can) he has already had a far longer run than he deserves.
Load of shite tester, your normal good sense deserts you on this one. Why do you or this forum demand that a company make a wonderful contribution to cycling? In my book foffa is ok. I know people who have bought foffas, ridden them to work for a summer, loved it, carried on through the winter and then started getting more into bikes etc. Thats a decent contribution to cycling although they still don't know their shimano from their campag. Foffa was a crap startup that sorted its shit out and then made standard entry level bikes that with a bit of marketing (like all brands) claims to be a bit better than it actually is. The guy was a start up bike company for new entry level cyclists that has sold perfectly decent bikes for a few years now.
He is not specialized who are big enough to suck up any shit thrown their way but this thread is the domain of bullies and I don't fucking like bullies so stop it.
