Nope, wheel wasn't spinning so it was definitely one of the pads hitting the disc earlier than the other
calipers not lined up to the rotor properly.

I reckon first thing is to pull the wheel and check the pads.
And then go and buy Shimano
I've spent £800+ on brakes this year. Just BRAKES ffs! I don't want to spend any more unless these really are kaput. Anyway, the front works, who needs rear brakes..
