Yeah, I guess the pedals are/were just a temporary thing to match the rest. (Graphite Deltas: awesome Welles.)

As @winnifred1849 said, I put those pedals (yes, ugly pedals) just because I built this bike as a slow, hi-viz, cheer up commuter machine and general cruiser for London streets.
Yes I know, I am a bit of a wanker :)
