Gone Girl really confused me. It was terrible in the beginning, made me feel almost sick,
then interesting in the middle and terrible again at the end. I was just waiting for it to stop. -

I'm with @sohi on Gone Girl.
A bit shit, then quite ridiculous. Then it's surreality really makes it.
A pretty great story but I wish David Lynch (rather than Fincher) had directed. It needed more aimless-driving-at-night scenes, lesbians, dwarfs etc. It had the bottle-blonde and the music already.

There was a cartoon walrus on some kids TV show my daughter was watching yesterday, it kinda freaked me out. I think that film has ruined walrus for me.

John Lennon lives!
I agree to some extent. There are definitely a lot of problems with the film, particularly in the third act but the feeling of suspense throughout the first hour is something I rarely experience in modern movies. My biggest gripe would probably be the dialogue, mostly between Affleck and Pike (but also the sister to a lesser extent). Im not sure how much they lifted from the book but fuck me it was borderline unbearable when they were just firing quips at each other.
