Dame Sarah Story to attempt Hour Record

Jack Bobridge too

Alex Dowsett will too, in London on the 28th of February, the same date and venue as Sarah Storey.

Can I get tickets?

I wondered the same thing, then wondered if I could actually watch one lone person riding in a circle for an hour.
-

I've always liked the Hour Record so I think watching one live, in person, should be on my cycling bucket list.

It's going to be at the Revolution meeting on February 28th, so presumably if you get tickets for that you'll be able to see it.
I was at Yvonne McGregor's successful attempt in Manchester back in 1995, it's actually surprisingly good to watch.

Not watching Hippy ride for 24 hours was pretty gripping: not sure I could handle the excitement IRL...

I also ride a bike for a day so watching a 1hr race is hardly stressing my attention span..

They should combine it with the world's longest Mexican wave. Audience participation.
-
• #165
That's probably the best idea I've had all year, actually.
Longest Mexican wave, both in terms of time and distance.

A quick search suggests the world Mexican Wave record is a paltry 7 minutes something.
You could be onto something here.

I've been involved in far longer Mexican waves at the MCG during one dayers. I guess you need the officials in place though. I remember Warney walking out to Bay 13 to try and calm the crowd down. Mental.

Rohan Dennis as well. They should set them all off at 3 minute intervals.

By mid year the record could be held by a Dame and a Knight. Classy sport, cycling.
-
• #170
Not before it's been tainted by a few convicts though.

Who, Roger Moore?
-
• #172
To be honest, I've not seen his FTP.

Oh Tester :)
Hard to see any of the other big hitters getting in before Wiggins, and it's no longer a soft target for an amateur or lower ranking pro, even if they could satisfy the anti-doping requirements. Dowsett could be the wild card, if he can get his sponsors behind it, but that's a big
