I wondered the same thing, then wondered if I could actually watch one lone person riding in a circle for an hour.

I've always liked the Hour Record so I think watching one live, in person, should be on my cycling bucket list.

It's going to be at the Revolution meeting on February 28th, so presumably if you get tickets for that you'll be able to see it.

I was at Yvonne McGregor's successful attempt in Manchester back in 1995, it's actually surprisingly good to watch.

Not watching Hippy ride for 24 hours was pretty gripping: not sure I could handle the excitement IRL...

I also ride a bike for a day so watching a 1hr race is hardly stressing my attention span..

They should combine it with the world's longest Mexican wave. Audience participation.

I've been involved in far longer Mexican waves at the MCG during one dayers. I guess you need the officials in place though. I remember Warney walking out to Bay 13 to try and calm the crowd down. Mental.
