Any opinions on the Ksyrium SLR vs Dura Ace C35 clinchers?
Obviously the Shimano is deeper, but they're about the same price.
Which is more durable / reliable? Heavy 100kg 6ft4 here.
-
• #4068
C35's are better but will have quite thin braking surfaces. Mavic wheels are quite bad value for money in general.
-
• #4069
Why not buy some Hed Ardennes for similar or less money?
-
• #4070
I've got DA C35s on my Ti road bike. I really like them. They seem pretty durable so far, although they've only done about 1000 miles so far.
-
• #4071
Hed Ardennes wheels are unfortunately hamstrung by really bad hubs.
-
• #4072
Not if you get handbuilts.
Best rim out there brah.
-
• #4073
Also do you even Dura Ace C24's ...
-
• #4074
Mavic will be stiff as fook, if thats what you are after.
I have some Ksyrium 10yr anniversary edition, but they are racing wheels and do beat me up on a long ride.

^ This.
You don't have to run them tubeless if you don't want to.
SuperStar do a Grail build.
