You might struggle, I could only just get my Barley on a SQR mount off even with this much space:-

You need more space than you think as the bracket goes in and drops down into the SQR mount.
I don't have a pic of how close it the SQR mount would get when mounted (maybe there's more than one bracket type), but here's one of t'interweb:-

Where are you @Yemble? I don't use my SQR mount so I'd let you try it (collection/return to/from SW15/SE1 or just pay postage costs).
