If it's for a turbo & you have a knackered 9/10 speed freehuball you have to do is file down the ridges at the base of the freehub a wee bit and if once you've got it locked down the lockring catches the inside of the dropout just put a thin spacer over the QR axle to push it off.
Failing that the 2001 Mavic range works without any fannying about, I've started using my old SSCs with an 11 speed on my ti Raleigh :D
