Don't think the touring shorts have ever been on sale though?

Pretty sure I got mine in a sale, at least with a discount code.

Also got mine in a sale a few years ago

Just got a uses softshell which absolutely stinks of fag smoke. Label says cold hand wash only, site says 30° cool machine wash.
Which is it? Its an old type one with thumb holes, I don't know if that matters. Other than that, it feels great on the quick commute I just did.

30° machine wash is fine (set on 'delicates' I think).

Thanks. I don't need to do anything with re waterproofing or anything, do I?
-

I haven't and don't plan to, although I'm sure you could.
It's very robust fabric for a softshell and does a pretty good job in the rain.

Yeah, that was the original attraction for me. It was also only £50 secondhand, so happy all round. Feels OK around town over a shirt and amazingly warm considering the fabric.
I'll try and get out for a proper ride this week.
Did anyone get one of the pro softshells?

Not yet. Give it time though - still trying, unsuccessfully so far, to think of a reason why I need a PTSS as well as four PTJs. Suggestions welcome.

You have four Pro Team Jacket??
-
• #18690
I don't really see advantage. Are they the jerseys with added weatherproofing?
-
• #18691
WHY DO YOU NEED 4 PT Jackets?
Jesus.
Second question: You're not a small or an XS are you?

Not pleased with the finishing on a Pro Team jersey (that has now been sold). Strip of fabric behind front zip protruded at the top, going beyond the top edge of the collar. Poor stitching / loose threads too. Bit rubbish really. Felt like it would fall apart in the wash.
Got an Assos SS.13 instead which is way better (£25 cheaper too at the Assos Outlet), although the Uno is more breathable (and was £57 on Wiggle recently). Not sure why anyone would pay £120 for a Pro Team jersey, which has less features and is worse quality that a £57 one. I guess the Assos don't come in pink...

I have to say; i have one of the long sleeved ones, bought on here 2nd hand - it's the best cut piece of kit I've ever owned and I can't find any fault in it really. Incredibly comfortable on the bike and looks great.

I'm really happy with my two ptj(erseys), ss, also. agree with the cut. the little pump pocket elastic ribbon on one snapped at first use is my only gripe, but as I have a full time support crew following me I'm not too fussed about carrying a pump these days.

but as I have a full time support crew following me.
Don't think @tricitybendix like the sound of this...

I know the rapha shoots are a bit OTT sometimes but c'mon, Assos. That fucking camel toe.

I don't. But they're different colours, which is sufficient justification for me. Just.
Definitely not a S/XS though. Mostly L with a hint of aspirational M.

No, very different. The fabric's completely different - it's windproof on the PTJacket. More of a softshell fabric, which is why I can't work out what the difference is between the PTJacket and the PTSS.
It's a YKK Aquaguard, with film-covered zip tape and dwr finish. Often called waterproof, but better described as 'highly water-resistant', it's the first time the Vislon Aquaguard has been used on a Rapha product. The benefit of the moulded Vislon teeth (as opposed to coil) are a smoother running slider.
