Very reasonably priced for a fillet brazed frameset in Columbus Zona (which is as good as any steel out there)

Agree with Ugo - its a good price and personally I think its a very good looking frameset.
Having said that, if you are looking for a tough single speed frame, Surly Steamroller seems to be the obvious answer -its the landrover defender of the SS world.

I've got a Zona Orlowski, and tbh wouldn't trade it for anything. Lovely ride quality and very reasonable weight for a steel frame. I'd be surprised if an Orlowski with custom geo and paint would cost that much ^ but that's not to say the Aurelius is expensive

If I were looking to spend that kind of money on a new fixed frame Enigma has two beauties at 50 percent off. Of course sizes are limited

Thanks for the tip!

One is a lugged Columbus SL, very pretty, but I wouldn't pay that kind of money for something which takes you back 30 years... the other one is lovely

The blue Columbus Life one indeed is lovely. Tad small for me or I would have tried to find a way to justify it.

I wouldn't worry about one size down... a smaller frame is not a bad thing... However, if it's more than 2 cm down in size then not worth it.

I bought the Aurelius in the end. Would 100% recommend!
Any experience with columbus zona in terms of building a tough SS commuter.
I've got my beady eye on this frame:

It's a big purchase so am looking for alternatives before I take the plunge. Currently riding a 531 beater-ish frame.
Any help much appreciated
