I need to buy some canti brakes on a budget. For a winter commuter/tourer thing. What would people reccomend for less than £30 (ideally closer to £20). Also, is there anything to look out for? I've never had a bike with cantis before.

Road or MTB levers?

Shimano CX-50 are great.

Cantis are a bit more fiddly than v brakes, and good brake pads are dearer. Unless its a canti frame (vs would look fugly on my thorn) or you need big mudguard clearances, I'd go for v brakes.

Cantis work Vs are just easier :)
