I doubt it'll come near a Mojave, but as we're a school with a budget, it was a great buy.

All different flavours dude. I use the beat up SM57 i bought off Tim on here all the time. It's great on banjo and some acoustics.

Register yr interest for a shared music space in (probably south - Sorry B'ref') now! Quite the interest from trusted friends and colleagues. Looking at Peckham at the mo. Feeling pretty positive about this.
In other news. I'm still struggling horribly to finish any mixes at the mo. every time I think i've nailed something I realise something else is woefully shonky (and not in a charming way). Getting vocal sounds I dig is proving very hard. Love the performance, the fundamental frequencies I need are all there.. i'm just struggling to thin it out enough to sit in the mix without sounding overly fucked with

Finally got around to making a case for my summing mixer, making rack ears for my machine drum, retro soldering a diode into my filter and updating the firmware on Braids.

nice ! my summing mixer TL fatman 1 + bellari rolls sonic exciter + rane sm82 line mixer - super cheap set up sounds great but some crackles from the pots on the fatman.....

looking for a nice stereo eq as well

anyone have any field recorder recommendations? Was thinking about getting the Tascam DR-40 but then I read a lot of reviews saying the Zoom H4N is loads better - I'll just be pointing it at noises and taking the file straight into the computer....so bells and whistles might not be required

I enjoy my H2n and its surround mode, fun for walking around a city. More useful is probably the multiple types of stereo it can do as I use it for backup ensemble recording.
H4n good as you can use your own mics, but not tried tascam.

Anyone had a lathe-cut single done?
If so, thoughts?
-
• #614

Awesome. I'm definitely interested in small runs of vinyl as well.
How was the quality overall?

looks like they do same process as my mate ....how much do they charge ?
-
• #619
It seems that the website is down, and the Facebook page has been deleted…
It was a guy on the south coast, £130 (I think) for 10 7"s.
Looking for someone in London who does it.

Give us a shout if you do find anything. I'd be up for small run promo copies of some of my stuff.
That is assuming I ever finish this track I'm woking on. I've already replaced the guitar once and am about to do it again due to a un-editable chair creak in the quiet intro. I've had the singer back to do BVs once already and her timing still displeases me. It's not really melodynable either as the syllables all roll into each other. I spend four hours last night tracking glockenspiel and handclaps... I'm losing it again.

PS I should introduce you to my mate, Gabby, her band Ella & The Blisters would be a good fit for what you're doing (she's a bit more gyspy-ish)... You should play some shows together, she's only 'round the corner from me... Check her out on FB...

The Jam-style? :)
Cheers dude. Will check it out. Am still super happy with my Mojave MA300.
On a bit of a tangent, has anyone here got a studio space? I used to share one Limehouse but that's been gone for a few years now.
Been thinking it might be time to move my set-up out of the flat and into dedicated space. I suppose the ideal would be to share a small unit with one or two other people. Brixton would be perfect. Anyone know of anything?
