  • I'm thinking about doing this with some tights I have with a pad I don't get on with. Any tips / pitfalls?

  • Declined my offer of £5

I'm considering upping it to £6

  • £6?

    Doesnt even have a zip.

    Crazy talk.

  • Use a scalpel. Don't do it in a hurry - just take your time with it whilst watching some tv or something.

Be careful removing the stitching, even after you've picked the thread - the holes can widen a fair bit if you're rough with it. I messed a couple up but it's not really a big deal. Overall I'm very happy to get a useful every day piece of kit out of something that I had stopped using because of the pad and that I would have thrown in the bin.

  • Ta. I'll start working on summoning the bravery to do this now.

  • Cut from the pad side so you don't go through the lycra outer fabric. You should be able to get it done in less than 5 minutes.

  • The piece of kit on Stannard(?) on the right looks interesting. Reworked pro team jacket?

    Better pic here:

  • I am selling my Hardshell, brand new medium on fleebay, if any of you connoisseur's are interested, pm me. Nice and not so pricey!

  • Pro team soft shell. Nice find!

  • Waffa were nice enough to send me an e-mail about the PTSS. I'm not sure what advantages it would have over a PTJ though, apart from the wipe-clean back panel (oooh errr missus).

  • I don't really understand the difference from the ptj either. Is it basically that the new one is for rougher conditions?

The pt softshell in red looks ace though. Cunningly released for the Xmas rush

  • Considering it's had a bath in DWR treatment, is this supposed to be the Gabba?

  • in market for a softshell .. should I lose my Rapha virginity ..

  • It might be time for a reversion to core values. I'm talking about a boycott of Rapha and maybe Rapha-burning evening where cyclists can celebrate turning their backs on the hyper-consumerism the brand represents.

Okay, coffee is about expensive flat whites, but all the rest are true.
