you could try Ansel Adams "The Print".
also I think dusty B&W scans are just a thing - the auto removal doesn't work on B&W negs. but the good flip side to that is it's much easier to control in the darkroom, and just much easier in the darkroom generally. -

I have to say that the graphics in Day Z are getting better and better. Somehow like in that old film ... what was it called again ... with the fake snake and stuff.

It might of been me... I hate hearing "I don't even open my 35mm photos in PS" like they are some high and mighty artist.
All photoshop is is a digital darkroom.
Quick tip @Vesalius, and this is just IMO/best practise I was told for print prep (which I did for 5 years) is to hold down ALT when pulling levels in to make sure you always have a speck or black and a speck of white each end. Can also be done sans ALT in curves with "show clipping" tick box ticked and the curves interface has more scope for correction/is easier to control. Although a professional photographer friend of mine disagrees and says Photography is Art not science, so I guess whatever you feel works for you...
Love the top 2 shots BTW.

so i recently borrowed an MJU ii that my friend who is crashing with me has and shot 2 rolls through it at a club night, the camera seemed to work perfectly i loved using it and i got some decent shots i think, however getting the scans back i cant figure out whether they are mainly grey'ed out due to the sweaty moist nature of the clubs air or whether its the scanner struggling to comprehend the darker areas? what do you guys think?
I'm looking into getting a Pakon after christmas, anyone here got one?

Anyone process their own Black and white film? Was wondering if anyone has tried developing B&W negative film into positive on the reel? I've acquired a slide projector and thought about trying black and white with it.

I so want that 645.. I hate how the fixie culture has died and no one wants to buy lo-pros anymore, otherwise I would get it.

Thank you
:)
Soo on Wednesday I picked up my dev+scanned film. I was quite keen to check then out so instead of going straight home I stopped by my uni and had a look on their computers.
I had to move the pics off the CD to my uni computer to edit them, wanted to fiddle around with exposure etc.
I then went home, put the CD in my laptop and it promptly started formatting the disc... Pulled it out halfway and fully corrupted it, I couldn't even try to recover the files.
Fortunately I had actually stopped by my uni on the way back and accidentally given myself a backup, otherwise I'd be paying for another scan!
Anyway, to the pictures. Some I was quite happy with, others I was disappointed how blown out the highlights were. And the film seems to have picked up a decent amount of dust on the way through.
Do you guys have to do post processing of your images as well? Mine felt a bit grey/flat straight off the film.
