So the iMac isn't quite cutting it for video games (no surprise there), thought it did handle Windows great with no error.

Considering the huge expense of the modern iMac, I figure that a gaming PC might be a much better ideas on a budget.

Do anyone have any good idea on which OTP gaming computer to go for? especially one that you can easily upgrade in the future.

I'd go for something along these specs. That CPU will overclock well, as does the GTX 970. The graphics card is about the most important bit in a gaming PC and for performance per £££ the GTX 970 is currently the best you can get. They go for about £260 on their own.

Look like a great spec! Nearly a grand however is a little more than what I regarded as a budget thought.

Good call on graphic cards fairly obvious really.
