Discovered that shoes -> oversocks -> overshoes is the ticket. My usually freezing toes were toasty and happy at 6:30 this morning.

Good shout, time to find me those bright hipster pink Defeet oversocks.

Yeah, the Defeet slipstreams are really decent oversocks, but with feet as cold as mine (and summer shoes) you really need something more for total protection.

The only downside is that I can't adjust my shoes on the fly. Too much material.
