Thanks bbz! Swear on my BMX I'll be there!
How much deposit you put down??
-
• #3
They only want 10-20 quid and they don't mind waiting until I get back to work at the beginning of December to hand it over. Actually maybe someone could pay on the 4th at next ladies drinks? Would save me a trip.
Failing that I can pop over one lunchtime. -

OK The Captain Kidd have just rang me and said that we need to make menu choices before the event! I'm not particularly happy about this as they didn't mention it at all when I booked.
Also I'm conscious that trying to arrange LLFGSS events is like herding cats - so I know a lot of you wont be able to commit.
With that in mind I'm having second thoughts about eating there and thinking that we might be better off bringing our own and just drinking downstairs.
What are your thoughts? (menu attached btw)

I am definitely in for the party but not enthralled by that food. I'm up for bringing snacks and setting up camp on that table downstairs we sat at last time! Can we reserve that table instead?
-
• #6
Same here ~ happy to prepare/ bring some more substantial festive nibbles for everyone =)
-
• #7
yep I'm really cool with making some stuff too !
-
• #8
I also vote snacks and downstairs! That's a bit rum that you need to order in advance, from a fairly pricey for what it is menu. Harumph!
-
• #9
Yeh I thought that! screw them we can have a buffet downstairs!
I'll give them a call tonight and see if I can get the booth we had last month. -
• #10
OK upstairs is now cancelled. Unfortunately the booth is booked for the 17th and that is the only area that they will let you reserve, however we have first refusal if they don't pitch up, failing that we get there early and claim a table then move to the booth like before. Wednesday night shouldn't be too busy.
Bring your tupperware and nibbles! -

Quick question, are men-folk welcome to tag along? Was just wondering if I can invite Howard or not.
-
• #18
Was in the pub yesterday, did not smell a fire, but it was quiet so not sure if they put it on because it was so quite.
The river was def there!
Men-folk, no problem in bringing partners from me.
