Remember kids... in winter always wear a thick woolly hat between your head and helmet so it doesn't fit properly and looks almost guaranteed to split in two from the slightest impact.

Probably not just London, in Belfast Taxi Drivers/White Van Man have a bad rep too.

Though all Belfast cycling fatalities the past years were lorries or hit and runs. So it may be limited to mere aggro (been there)

Interesting point in that article regarding the fact that avoidance rather the helmet could have prevented “a broken collar bone, broken shoulder blade, a collapsed shoulder, eight broken ribs, collapsed lungs, a haemothorax, pneumothorax and smashed teeth”.
